One of the reasons I
became a professional pet groomer is my love of and fascination with poodles.
Over the last few years, I'd been noticing how few new poodles were coming my
way for grooming. I was seeing many new, bichon's, maltese's, and
shihtzu's instead. I couldn't imagine why poodles would ever fall out of
favor as a companion animal. They are extremely intelligent, playful,
loyal, and when groomed regularly, won't shed everywhere. I decided to
investigate, it turns out that the poodle breeders in this area had either
retired or passed away.
In the fall of 2005, I
started searching for poodles to start my own line. In early January 2006,
I came across a beautiful black toy male with excellent bloodlines (see
pedigree). He was a finished champion and was available to the right
party. He had the qualities I was most looking for : beautiful square
build, elegant movement, ultra-plush coat, beautiful face, and excellent
temperament. His background includes: whites and silvers which I hope to
develop in addition to the gorgeous black.
I purchased him in
January 2006, he flew from Utah to Syracuse, N.Y. (the closest main airport).
We fell in love with him instantly. Blitzy is available for stud work,
fees are available upon request.

MEET BLITZY
Blitzy
was born 05/02/04 Height: 10.5"
Weight:7.5lbs.
Blitzy
is a beautiful, sound mover, correctly proportioned with a plush
"Mink" coat to die for.
He has a
delightful dispostion and a loving heart which can be found in
his progeny.
Please
watch for his son Bling-Bling in 2010. Blitzy is available for
stud.

MEET DUSTIN
Dustin was born April 22,
2008. He is the son of Damon and Melanie and grandson of Blitzy.
Right away we knew Dusty was
special! He had that perfect walk and curious nature.
He finished his championship
very quickly with a 5 point major with his handler Jody Weaver.
Dustin weighs 4.75 lbs and
stands 9". He has a beautiful face, our signature "Mink"
coat,
is an elegant mover with a
darling disposition. His Optigen Test for PRA is normal/clear.A
.
He fathered his first litter
December 22, 2009 (see Nursery page). Dustin is available
for stud.

MEET SASSY PANTS
Sassypants
stands 9" and weighs 3.75lbs. She has the lovely dense, signature

MEET GALA
This is Custom's Main Event for Mink aka
Gala.
She is a beautiful girl in a compact
package weighing 4.5lbs. and standing 8.75".
She is an elegant mover with a nice
short back, dark pigment and plush coat.
she has an absolutely darling
disposition too. She is Optigen A/Normal by way of parentage.
Her show career was interrupted by an
unfortunate accident from which she has fully recovered.
Gala turned 3 years old on 6/06/10 so
must take time for motherhood before returning to the
show ring. We plan a Fall 2010
breeding of our Gala to our beloved Dusty (see profile).

MEET VELVET
She is the very typy
daughter of Babette (see her video on the homepage) and Damon (scroll up
this page).
Velvet stands at 11"
and weighs 7.5lbs. She has our fabulous "Mink" coat, moves
beautifully, has a gorgeous face,
and loves to romp and
fetch. She has exceptional ancestry (see pedigree).
We are planning our
first line breeding this fall with Blitzy.
